About Me

Interested in all aspects of film — as a writer/director, I learn more about acting and vice versa.

Some roles that I have done IRL:

• The nerdy stuff: MSc in Sustainable Development, published research on international waste trade. Previous work on digital literacies in higher education in the UK.

• Hiker/Park Ranger/Nature Guide: 5 seasons in eco-tourism including chasing bears from campsites in Yosemite, back-country kayak-camping in Glacier Bay National Park, managing operations for kayak excursion company in Southeast Alaska, and glacier and whale tours.

• Boring bureaucratic do-gooder: I worked for several years in local government, where I managed a housing initiative for families with young children and then as a planner I worked with refugee resettlement, data analysis, disaster planning, and GIS Mapping.

• Business administration: for several years, I was the director of a Sustainable Business (which I still run as a hobby). I have competed successfully for funding, built a sales network, contracted with production companies, and handled business admin ranging from web maintenance to financial forecasting and writing business plans.

I have lived in five countries and traveled to dozens more. I always like expanding my view of the world, via travel, reading, and film, and also through spiritual and meditative practice.
